Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Aegis, a service operated by Memriq Holdings, Inc. ("Memriq", "we"). By using Aegis you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information.

What Aegis is, and what it is not

Aegis checks whether your email addresses and passwords have turned up in known data breaches, explains what leaked and how serious it is, and gives you the steps to fix it. Aegis never signs in to, changes, recovers or closes any of your accounts, and never contacts a site, a bank or anyone else for you. Its breach information comes from Have I Been Pwned and covers only breaches that have become known; a clean result does not mean an account is safe. Its steps are written with the help of AI models and can be wrong or incomplete; check anything that matters on the site itself before you rely on it.

Who can use it

Aegis is in an invitation-only early access period. You need a Memriq account and an invitation that has been accepted for Aegis — joining the waiting list and being invited, or redeeming an invitation code. An invitation is personal; do not share or sell it.

Only your own addresses

Check only email addresses that are yours. Aegis checks your sign-in address, and another address only after you open the link Aegis sends to it. Do not use Aegis to look into anyone else's accounts or breach history. Never type another person's password into Aegis.

Aegis acting for you

How much Aegis does without asking you first is your setting — suggest only, ask you first, or act and tell you — and Aegis tells you what a setting allows before you choose it. At every setting the most it does on its own is keep watching an address: a weekly reminder in Helm and an email if that address appears in a new breach. You remain responsible for the steps you take on your accounts.

Your account

Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us at hi@memriq.ai if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Early access

Aegis is new. Features may change, pause or be removed, and it may be unavailable at times. It is provided as it is, without promises that it will be error-free, that it will find every breach, or that every alert will arrive.

Price

Aegis has a free level and a paid level; what each includes is shown in Aegis's settings under Your plan. During early access no payment is taken. If that changes, we will tell you before you are asked to pay, and you will not be charged without agreeing.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Memriq is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for a breach Aegis did not know about, or for decisions you make using Aegis's results or steps. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility the law does not let us limit.

Ending

You can stop using Aegis at any time, remove an address or stop watching it, and ask us to close your account, as the Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend an account that misuses Aegis as described above, and we may end early access, or your access, with notice where we can give it.
